From the Album cover;

'The purpose of this work is to tell a story, ‘the greatest story ever told’, as it appears in St John’s Gospel. Each song relates a story, or sets the words of the people involved and a few, such as ‘I Remember’ and ‘Sometimes’, seek to get into the head of a person at a given moment.

Often Medieval churches were adorned with paintings of stories from the Bible to help people remember them, understand them and think about them. This work seeks to do the same thing in sound.'

St John Passion

'Risen'

images

and

reflections

From the Album cover;

'We live in an age of images. On our TV screens and in our newspapers we see images of war, poverty and famine and the violence of the inner city. To this world, disfigured by man, we are called to bring the love of Christ who was 'the image of the invisible God.'
As we open ourselves to the refreshing and remoulding work of His Holy Spirit so more of Him will be revealed in us. In this, as in so many other aspects of the Spirit's work, we see reflections of God's love for us which, in turn, should be mirrored in our lives.....'

Note; This Album was produced before 9/11 and the inclusion of the Twin Towers on the cover design adds poignancy to these words.
